He responds that if he answers a question from a story she presents, she will acknowledge his knowledge. The narrative then shifts to the main characters, Suresh and Prasad. Suresh is a police officer in Hyderabad known for his integrity. He receives intelligence about illegal arms trading in the Old City. He successfully apprehends a well-known criminal involved in this trade, gathering the necessary evidence against him. However, Suresh faces pressure from higher authorities after arresting this criminal, who is under the protection of a powerful minister. He receives a directive to release the criminal and report back without taking any action. Suresh is conflicted as he reflects on the struggles he endured to qualify for the I.P.S. He is determined not to let a dangerous person back into society and makes one last attempt to discuss the situation with the D.G.P.
